The NTRA Facilities
The Northern Territory Rifle Association can be found within the Mickett Creek Shooting Complex, which is approximately 12 kilometres north-east of Darwin CBD. The complex covers approximately 2 square kilometers. The complex faces north, overlooking coastal flats and Defence land adjacent to Shoal Bay.
The Northern Territory Government funded and built the complex, which was opened by Shane Stone as Chief Minister on 16 August 1997.
The complex is home to four Darwin-based shooting clubs: Darwin Rifle Club (Darwin Rifle Club), Darwin Pistol Club (Darwin Pistol Club), The Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, and Field & Game. The Northern Territory Firearms Council manages the Complex under a Government-leased lease.
The facilities are unmatched in the region, and they host many national, regional and international competitions.
The complex is located at the end Brandt Road in Berrimah. Visitors and other interested parties are always welcome.
The previous signage on Vanderlin Drive caused confusion and was moved to McMillans Road, where a more prominent direction at Farrar Road is provided. Coming from Darwin, take McMillans Road past Crocodylus Park, the Police Complex and Secrett Road. Turn left shortly after at the yellow Farrar Road signs. Brandt Road is located on the second left after Farrar Road. You can enter the Shooting Complex by traveling to the end Brandt Road.
The shooting ranges of the Northern Territory provide abundant opportunities for enthusiasts to embrace their love for firearms and marksmanship.
